Subsidised EV Fleet Charging, Deployed Nationally

Australian businesses are accelerating their transition to electric fleets. The barrier isn't the vehicles — it's the charging infrastructure. DC System Services built the digital home for ESQ's flagship EV fleet programme, communicating a technically complex ARENA-backed subsidy to commercial fleet operators across Australia.

The Origin × ESQ programme.

ARENA funding meets fleet electrification at scale

Co-funded by Origin Energy and the Australian Renewable Energy Agency — subsidised hardware and installation on a 1:1 basis with every EV supplied.

The programme

One Subsidy, Two Agreements, National Delivery

The Accelerate EV Fleet Program is co-funded by Origin Energy and ARENA, subsidising smart charger hardware and installation on a 1:1 basis with every electric vehicle Origin supplies to a business — covering both commercial depot installations and residential take-home chargers. As an authorised Origin 360 EV delivery partner, ESQ scopes, installs, commissions, and supports the charging infrastructure nationally, available under either an all-inclusive EV Business Subscription or a fully managed Fleet Operational Lease.

What it covers

Six Capabilities Under One Programme

Origin 360 EV Business Subscription

An all-inclusive monthly EV subscription with the subsidised smart charger bundled in — vehicle, servicing, registration, insurance, and roadside in one figure.

Fleet Operational Lease

A fully managed operational lease across passenger and light commercial EVs, with charging infrastructure and driver reimbursement built into a single agreement.

Commercial & Depot Installation

Site assessment, load study, switchboard upgrades, civils, and commissioning of AC smart chargers at workplaces and depots.

Take-Home Driver Charging

Residential installation at driver homes, with work-vehicle charging automatically metered and reimbursed — removing the admin burden of take-home fleets.

Public DC Network Access

One card, one invoice — centralised billing across 60%+ of Australia's public DC fast charging network, including Evie, Chargefox, Tesla, and Jolt.

Smart Charging & Optimisation

OCPP-connected chargers with load management and tariff optimisation to shift charging into low-cost, low-emission windows.

Who it's for

Built for Operators Who Run Fleets at Scale

The programme is designed for organisations where fleet electrification is a board-level decision, not a pilot. The commercial case is straightforward: the ARENA-backed subsidy absorbs most or all of the hardware and installation cost, the Origin subscription or lease eliminates upfront vehicle capital, and ESQ's national delivery means multi-site, multi-state deployments are handled under a single engagement.

How it works

Four Steps From Enquiry to Operating Fleet

01

Enquire

Share fleet size, depot locations, and take-home driver count with ESQ.

02

Qualify

Origin conducts a credit review and confirms vehicle allocation from the Origin 360 EV fleet.

03

Design & Install

ESQ scopes commercial and residential sites, then installs and commissions each charger to AS/NZS 61851 and OCPP standards.

04

Operate & Reimburse

Smart charging data flows to Origin automatically. Drivers are reimbursed for home charging with no manual claims — all on one dashboard.

The takeaway

Electrifying a Fleet? Start With the Infrastructure.

Commercial depots, take-home installs, and public network access — one agreement.

ESQ delivers the Origin EV Fleet programme nationally. DC System Services built the digital presence that translates its ARENA-backed subsidy structure into a clear, credible offer — turning technically complex funding into qualified fleet enquiries.
